Break/cut the green beans into manageable pieces. Cut off the pointy ends and remove the thin string they have on their side.
Let the green beans boil for about 6 minutes. They should be softened up, but not mushy.
While the green beans are boiling, roast the sesame and sunflower seeds. Do this in a small pan with no added oil or butter. Keep an eye on them. Once the pan warms, flip frequently. Once the seeds start browning, they'll burn quickly.
Take the beans off the fire and strain them. Sprinkle MSG over them and toss so they are evenly coated. Add the seeds and toss until evenly coated.
