Rewards Map Transcript: Master Wind Waker

Note: I am focusing on the dialogue, and as such will not be transcribing the battle objectives and such as they appear in the game. I'm also having a bit of fun with this don't take it too serious.

The Rewards Map unlocks after you find all the skulltulas in an adventure map, thus completing its illustration. In the Rewards Map, you can then play a scenario based on that illustration. In this map, Ruto and Medli work together to defend the Wind and Earth Temples from Ganondorf's Forces.

DRAMATIS PERSONAE

RUTO: Zora Princess, Sage of Water

MEDLI: Attendant of Valoo, Sage of Earth

GANONDORF: Come on you know him.

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUTO: If we want to fend off Ganondorf's monster, we must restore this temple's power of light.

RUTO: I'll pray to revive the power of light. In the meantime, everyone do your best to defend!

GANONDORF: This unsightly sage... I'll have the power of light itself snuffed out!

MEDLI: Ruto... I'm not sure how helpful I'll be, but I'll fight by your side!

RUTO: This is something that only you can do. I'm counting on you, Medli.

[Ganondorf summons a giant Big Poe, which begins to advance toward Ruto.]

GANONDORF: Go... Show them your power.

MEDLI: Ruto is offering a decisive prayer. Everybody, protect her!

HYLIAN CAPTAIN: Cut the enemy off here! Don't let them push through! We must defend Ruto!

GANONDORF: Care for a taste of my strength?

[More of Ganondorf's Forces begin advancing toward Ruto.]

GANONDORF: Ha ha ha! Flounder around!

MEDLI: Oh, you mean that thing?! It sure is a mighty big monster, isn't it...

MEDLI, thinking: I've got to get rid of it. But how?

[After depleting a part of the Big Poe's health, it temporarily disappears from the battlefield.]

RUTO: It's disappeared from sight... Keep your guard up! It must be lurking close by.

MEDLI: I'll look after this keep!

[After the Big Poe reappears.]

MEDLI: Hmm... Oh! Maybe we can use the Magic Circle at the Sage's Keep against it!

RUTO: The Sage's Keep... That's a good idea! I'll leave it up to you!

MEDLI: OK, I won't let you down!

[Medli begins advancing toward the Southwest Sage's Keep. A Transfer Soldier appears.]

GANONDORF: Pitiful, sneaking around like that... Now it's time for you to disappear.

MEDLI: If we don't make a Magic Circle right away, Ruto will...!

[After defeating the Transfer Soldier and successfully creating and using a Magic Circle, the giant Big Poe divides into six regular Big Poes.]

RUTO: You did it! Now that the monsters are smaller, we can get rid of them with no problem!

RUTO: Medli... It looks like you have finally awakened to the power of the Sage.

MEDLI: The power of a sage... Thanks to it, I was able to help everybody out!

GANONDORF: So, you've some meager abilities... But do you really think it's enough to defeat me?

MEDLI: I am not going to lose!

[Big Poes begin advancing toward Medli. Chuchus begin appearing in multiple allied keeps.]

RUTO: These don't seem like your average monsters... At this rate, our keeps are in danger of falling!

MEDLI: We've got no choice but to fight. Defending our keeps is our top priority!

[After defeating all Chuchus.]

MEDLI: All the keeps are safe now!

[After defeating half of the Big Poes.]

MEDLI: That's half of them. Just one more push.

GANONDORF: Defenses seem to have become weak... Now, attack!

[All remaining Big Poes begin advancing toward Ruto.]

[After defeating five Big Poes.]

RUTO: Just a little more! If we can get through this, victory will be within reach!

[After defeating all six Big Poes, Ruto's Forces receive the power of light and gain morale. Ruto retreats to the Allied Base.]

RUTO: With those monsters' evil presence gone, our prayers have finally reached the temple.

HYLIAN CAPTAIN: So this is the power of light... There's no enemy that can beat us now!

MEDLI: I did it, Ruto!

RUTO: Now we'll be able to push forward. Leave the Allied Base's protection to me!

GANONDORF: Hmph, I didn't count on two sages being here... What an unexpected surprise.

[Ganondorf summons two Phantom Ganons.]

GANONDORF: My shadows! Introduce these unsightly sages to their end!

MEDLI: Let's drive the rest of the monsters away with the power of light!

[After a while, Ganondorf begins acting suspiciously.]

GANONDORF: Ha ha ha! My power will settle this fight once and for all!

MEDLI: We'll be OK here! Please, go take care of Ganondorf!

[After defeating both Phantom Ganons and Ganondorf, the battle ends.]

RUTO: Well done! With such power, you're worthy of fighting alongside royalty!

MEDLI: Thanks to you, Ruto, even I was able to help out!

RUTO: You're a full-fledged sage now. From now on, you must fulfill your duties as one.
